In this has grown a truth she could no longer write just in the margins, as a maybe, or a sometime, but rather as air, as water, as basic survival. She began to write these words, those spaces, onto paper. Where others may hear the conversation by way of what was said next, Danielle has always heard the space between, and all the words left unsaid. In their cadence and their rhythm, in the way they can move a moment forward, or pull a moment to a slow stop. This is a book you will want to keep on your coffee table, for those slow mornings and to share with each women that walks into your home. The everyday moments, and the extraordinary moments, have always made the most sense to Danielle in words.

And although powerful, its easy to digest.

Its an easy read! These short pieces are between a paragraph to just under two pages. And there isn’t a piece of writing in here, that this world doesn’t deeply need. Her book “I am her tribe” was a long awaited gift to this world. In this book of poetry by Danielle Doby, every single piece is full of rawness, of passion and of truth.ĭanielle’s “I am her tribe” movement was first shared on social media & intended to bring women together, to create a sense of safety in community and to speak to the rawness of the human experience. So energetically connected that one humans words, one humans art, will inevitably land at home in the heart of the receiver. It has always had a special vibration with me as I believe that we are all so intricately connected as a collective. I think that poetry is such a beautiful example of that. Often times for me, its some sort of spiritual, therapeutic, personal development story….īut what I think we often miss, is the pure art form, of another humans writing. Sometimes its reading fiction, allowing your mind the blissful escape to a new dimension. You know, sometimes you find yourself in a season of reading really analytical content.
